Woredas, All kinds of back ground Information

Artumafursii is one of the woredas, which are districts in the amhara region of Ethiopia and Part of the Oromo zone. Artuma fursi is bordered on the south by jile Timuga, on the west by the semien shewa zone Antsokiya gemza woreda, on the north by dewa chefa woreda and on the east by afar region wadarage woreda. Towns in artumafursi is include chefa robit. Artumafursi is part of the former artumafursina jile. Our woredas far from capital city Addis Ababa 300 km and far from regional capital city of bahirdar 580 km and the distance far from zonal capital cirty up kemise, it is far with distance 25 km respectively. In the woreda most population were settled on rural areas out of 24 rural local administrated Kebeles and 3 of them are semi urban districts.

Demographics

Woredes totals land coverage, is 108181 hectar and there are two main largest ethnic groups which is settled in woredas i.e. Oromo (98%) and Amhara (2%) respectively . When we see religious practice and habits in woredas 97% of the population, followed Islamic religion(faith) and the rest 3% of the population which is follow coptic Christian. When we see the total population which is settled in the area, is 48617 male and 50134 female totally 98751 which is settled in rural areas of woredas and the rest of population male, 5587 and 5343 and total 10930 which is settled on urban resident when we see the total population which live in woredas both urban and rural dweller(resident) is 109681 population would be lived out of total dweller of the population 49.6% of them are male and the races of 50.6% of the population is female and 49442 of population is productive man power and there age would be found 15-64 ages. The Woredas capital city is known as chefarobit town.

The woredas land Scape Situation(topographic situation)

In artumafursi when see land coverage of the woredas it is cover 108181 hectare and out of this land coverage, 35% of the area would covered by plane land, 28.5% of the area is covered by mountains land escape, the rest of  6.6% the woredas is covered by semi plane and mountainous and 6.4% of the woredas region is covered by gorge. When we see climatic condition which is practiced, 76% of the woredas region(area) is hot(bereha) and the rest of 24% is semi cold (woyna dega). The average daily air condition which is recorded is 15⁰c - 35⁰c.  When we the woredas land position and level from see level of the area which is found 1200 – 2000 metre and the annual rain fall amount from 600-900 metre amount of rain fall would recorded in the area.

Woredas Economic aspects (Economic Source) practices

The woredas livelihood situation most of the population is depend on agriculture which mean 89% the total population would practiced. The rest of 11% of the population is depend on trade and civil servant. Teff, corn, other serial  seeds are mostly prominent types of agricultural products in the area and there is  18 farmer training center in order to training the local farmer to be upgrade there livelihood life situation and have six(6) veterinary treatment center because of there is the access of horn animals in the areas and to be treated from different sisease. When we see the access of horn animals like ox and caw i.e totally 65,233 and other pack animals nearly 6720 to be estimated out of the total land coverage 108181 hectare, which is suitable for agriculture practice 11923 hectare and other covered by shirabs and bush 59333 hectare and other covered by swampy (waterage) areas is 3793 hectare and the land which used for the construction purpose 8495 hectare and the used for the purpose of animal feeds(animal raring) is nearly 10153 hectares and finally the land used for the seek of investment(local investment) 40 hectares would be fertile and suitable for investment purpose.

When we see the woredas road access, the total access to road which connected to the woredas capital to local kebeles(districts) connection (integration) out of 24 woredas kebele 5, 19 of them are delivered the service and integrated with socio economic trade relation to the neighbour regions(woredas) and  the rest of 5 kebeles were planned in order to connected to the rest of the districts. Generally, when we see the total road access of the woredas is 80% would be achieved to be intigrated with road access.

Public Service Accesses situation

When we see the educational access in the woreda, there is 6 elementary school(1-4), 43 junior secondary school(5-8), 3 high school and one preparatory school(9-12), one technical and vocational training school college institution would found. Beside to this when we see the total population which is educated man power i.e grade 1-8^th class 96%, from 9-10^th class 58.96% and the student which is study in kg level which is cover 4-6 age(96.94%) and from 11-12^th grade accesses 4.88% of the total population.

When we see the health institution access in the woredas, there is 6 health center, 22 health post(health extension access), 3 pharmacy institution. When we see the total health access and health centre level is 100% and the level of health post(health extension accesses level is 92% and mainly delivering there service by focusing on millennium development goals (MOG) that is reducing mother death, to be achieving these goals doing at any and night.
